Crystal Palace forward Connor Wickham is set to miss the rest of the campaign due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The 23-year-old was stretchered off during Palace's 5-4 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday after falling awkwardly.
Wickham has had a stop-start Eagles career due to a number of injuries and he now faces six to nine months out, though it could be up to a year.
He said: "I can't describe how devastated I am, but I will do all I can to be back on the pitch as soon as possible and stronger than before!"
His absence means that Christian Benteke and FRAIZER CAMPBELL are the team's only fit strikers with Loic Remy also sidelined.
"Everyone at the club wishes Connor a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back in action as soon as possible," a Palace statement added.
